Self Introduction

To Whom It May Concern, I'm a passionate educator with a Master of Teaching degree, extensive experience teaching primary English, drama, the PLP-R/W and reading strategies, and strong creative and communicative skills which make me an excellent candidate for an online tutoring programme. I have been teaching English in Asia for more than 17 years which first started as a career changing, volunteer teaching experience in Cambodia, in 1995. After that I attended a two-year Master of Teaching Degree at the University of Sydney where I studied English and HSIE teaching at the secondary level. In 1997, I was a member of a UMAP (University Mobility in Asia and Pacific) scholarship team to Taiwan where I completed a three-month internship at Fo Guang Shan Pu-Men High School, as part of my Master’s Degree. I then stayed in Taiwan for four years and taught at Dominican Primary School and Amigo Language Institute in Kaohsiung. From 2003-2011 I was the NET at Fanling Government Primary School in Hong Kong and I have been teaching grade 4 English at Jembatan Budaya school for the past three years in Bali. I hope these qualifications and experience more than suitable to be an online tutor with On9class.
