Self Introduction

Hello, I’m Miss. Stella, a Kiwi and UK educated Native English Teacher. I have a vast background in English teaching, writing and blossoming creativity from my students through interactive and enlightening activities. I’ve previously tutored at ACG Parnell College, a leading international and private school in New Zealand, and am currently developing a creative writing curriculum for a tuition centre here in Hong Kong. During my studies in the UK, I was employed by two reputable tutoring companies where I worked with children ranging from the ages of four to sixteen to achieve their academic goals in English and the Humanities subjects. My past experience has equipped me with the necessary skills to adapt my teachings to a number of different students’ needs and the importance of patience and encouraging perseverance through challenges presented in a child’s education. In addition to my background in Education, I am also a qualified Journalist and Writer, producing content for charities to private enterprises. The creativity needed in this profession is something I apply to my tutoring and curate lesson plans that motivate and inspire the student through using factors in their surroundings to apply to our lessons. In my experience, how a child sees the world can be a vital tool in improving their engagement and success in education.
